JPMorgan hires senior tech executive from Goldman Sachs
New York City-based leading US lender and financial services provider, JPMorgan Chase & Co., has recently appointed a former Goldman Sachs fintech executive Gavin Leo-Rhynie as the head of its engineering and architecture for corporate and investment bank, remarking the latest in a string of corporate swap aimed at stabilizing JPMorgan’s fintech wing amid a fierce competition in the sector, a JPMorgan Chase & Co. memo seen by a press agency reporter had unveiled on Friday, the 24th of January 2020. On top of that, the long-time Goldman Sachs veteran, Gavin Leo-Rhyne, who had served more than two decades in the US lender, would join JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s head office in New York on Monday (January 27th), the memo said.
Aside from that, the memo also said the former data architect in Goldman Sachs, Leo-Rhynie, would serve as one of the members of CIB tech leadership team and focus on modernizing critical apps and infrastructures, while the newly appointed JPMorgan Chase & Co. head of engineering and architecture in investment and corporate banking, would report directly to the JPMorgan Chief Information Officer (CIO) Mike Grimaldi.
