As of September 9, 2024, Brian Niccol will join Starbucks as its new CEO. Laxman Narasimhan is stepping down as CEO and director, effective August 13, 2024. Rachel Ruggeri is serving as interim CEO until Brian Niccol takes the help on September 9th. Mellody Hobson will take on the role of lead independent director.
